About this place
Chi sei an blends into the residential streets of Higashi-Nippori, Arakawa Ward, operating as an unassuming neighborhood soba shop serving noodles and varied rice bowls. Spacious tables fill the calm interior, making it an inviting stop whether dropping in alone for lunch or settling down for an unhurried meal.
Combination sets and classic rice bowls
A central draw on the menu is the selection of recommended combination sets pairing mini rice bowls with noodles. Diners can select a mini katsu-don, mini curry rice, mini tamago-don, or mini vegetable tendon alongside a choice of soba or udon served cold as mori or tanuki, or hot as kake or kitsune. Standalone donburi offerings are equally extensive, ranging from standard and deluxe tendon and katsu-don to dashi-rich oyako-don, kaika-don with simmered beef and egg, and sukiyaki-don.
From chilled seiro to bubbling hot pots
The noodle list spans cold and hot options. Cold soba and udon include hon-kamo seiro with rich duck dipping broth, tempura zaru, and refreshing bowls topped with grated daikon or crisp tenkasu tempura pearls. The hot selection features deluxe nabeyaki udon, chikara nabeyaki udon with toasted mochi, miso nikomi udon, and curry nanban, offering satisfying comfort during cooler weather.
Beer and other alcoholic beverages are served for a relaxed midday drink or an evening meal after work. Payment is cash only, so having yen on hand ensures a smooth checkout.
